SDCWOA Fee Schedule / 2019-21

1. The following fee structure shall be in place for all tournaments held by CIF-SDS schools, their booster clubs, and other associated entities. This fee structure does not apply to CIF Sectionals or CIF Masters tournaments.
2. To ensure a high level of officiating for sanctioned tournaments:
   1. Representatives of CIF-SDS, SDWCA, and SDCWOA will meet in mid-September to review requests for sanctioned tournaments and multi-dual meets to take place on Fridays or Saturdays.
   2.  All tournaments must be approved by the sanctioning committee.
   3. All tournaments will be based on the number of officials required per formula regardless of number of officials assigned.
   4. The events per weekend will be limited so that the following ratio of officials to mats used are as follows:
   5. Multi-dual and team tournaments – One official for every mat. ii.   Individual tournaments – Three officials for every two mats.
   6. Tournament directors may add mats beyond the number sanctioned if the SDCWOA assigner and head official are given 48 hours’ notice and there are enough officials available to staff the extra mat

Individual Tournament Fees:

Hourly pay starts at posted time for start of first round.
Overtime rate of time-and-a-half starts eight hours after posted start time of first round.
Tournament directors may cut mats at any time and the head official will release officials to maintain the 3:2 ratios. Mats cannot be reopened once officials are released.
All released officials are guaranteed at least four hours pay.

Team Tournament Fees:

Tournament directors may cut mats at any time and the head official will release officials to maintain the 1:1 ratio. Mats cannot be reopened once officials are released.
All released officials are guaranteed at least two dual meets pay.

Tri-Meets and Quads:

Any non-league duel contested during a tri-meet or quad meet will use the formula listed above. Any league dual contested during a tri-meet or quad meet will use the formula listed below.

Dual Meets (HSSOC fees):

Dual meets, whether they are league meets, cross-league meets, or meets scheduled by mutual agreement between coaches, will be subject to the fees negotiated between the SDCWOA and the HSSOC.
The SDWCA has no influence on the dual meet fees.

Tournament Grooming Officials:

Grooming Official(s) are required to be present each day two hours before the start of the tournament and will be paid $30 per day for their services. Regardless of level, the number of Grooming Officials required is determined by each day’s number of wrestlers/teams competing.

Additional Grooming Officials can be requested by the tournament director.
Grooming can start earlier than weigh-ins, with a prior agreement made between the Tournament Director and the Head Official, but weigh-ins must adhere to NFHS rules.

Future Negotiations:

SDCWOA and SDWCA intend to negotiate for all tournament fees (including Tri-Meets and Quads) every three years. Therefore, the next negotiations will be held following the conclusion of the 2021-2022 season.
After the 2021-22 season, negotiations will be held. Should SDWCA refuse to meet with SDCWOA, $1/hour and $1/dual will be added each season.
